United Way visited Tamworth today to make an incre

United Way visited Tamworth today to make an incredible donation of $75,000 towards the Dolly Parton Imagination Library - Tamworth.

Both my daughters have been fortunate to be in the program, Harriet since the first began in Tamworth in 2019 and has since completed it, and Lillian is 3 years into the program - and throughout those years since 2019 I’ve proudly been an ambassador for the DPIL. Engaging in community events & talking about the wonderful benefits of this program that we are seeing here in Tamworth and other regions where the program is available also.

The gift of an age appropriate book is delivered to home each month, encouraging parents and caregivers to take the time to engage in the beauty of holding a physical book and allowing imagination to sore while early childhood literacy is at the forefront positively impacting our children’s literacy skills ahead of preschool and school & also keep the beating heart of community alive staying connected to our wonderful Libraries & community members.

In Tamworth, the program is funded on a local level by @tamworthregionalcouncil Council and donations from businesses, organisations and individuals which is fundamental in keeping the program and this legacy within our community! Thanks to Tamworth City Toyota I am living out my teenage dream of Driving a beautiful RAV 4. We have seen so much Aussie Country already with lots of projects for the start of this year happening "behind the scenes" - but come the Month of MAY - we are hitting the road to play shows for you all!
Raven RAV will be swapping out the car seats for musicians and of course the Banjo & Fiddle!
It will be the Banjos & the fiddles you hear first, as Hybrid Ravs are so very quiet!!

The past year has been a real tricky one to navigate, and I’ve learnt working from the inside out makes you feel & see differently on the outside.
Some days you fly through more confident in who you are, other days the wobble wheels come out and something slightly or majorly derails you. Both of those days I have learnt that I personally have to lean into the stillness of moments, let myself feel pain, let myself feel joy, just simply be..
