Bayview Tavern - I’ve heard and seen lots of these Sundays online, but never in person, so it’s going to be a grand day this Sunday and with all the greatness that is The Flood, I can feel my soul cup being filled already around these special people!

We lost her unexpectedly a few years ago in September and to be honest, I’ve been so angry about it these past few years. We were super close, and I just have had many internal thoughts on trying to figure out the why, why we couldn’t say goodbye, the things I wish I said, the more experiences I wish we all shared. Seeing my girls grow, talking with my Mum and finding out all the answers to the questions I now have as a woman. Feelings of regret, sadness and yet an overwhelming appreciation of love. I wrote this song before we lost my Nan, but realised I haven’t sung or connected to it since. So happy birthday beautiful lady, we miss you down here but know you and Dah have a Birds Eye view. Winterfest 2026 - you were real special and it was Winterfest 2026 - you were real special and it was such a joy to be back not only to share a set of music with all there but to camp & take in the festival experience as a music lover and as a family with our friends. Completely living from my perspective. And this morning as the morning frost covered the ground words came to me to capture that even moments that feel cold and still the sun always rises. And perhaps the light we’ve been searching for has been within us all along. I wasn't sure whether to share this one, but perhaps someone needs these words today.
